Dead Blog? Not yet!

I admit that I have totally FAILED this summer in my attempts to keep our blog updated.

I suppose I'd just be making excuses if I told you it was because of our super-busy evenings, my full-time work schedule, or the fact that I've taken up reading and exercising in the evenings vs. blog-updating. I could blame it on the fact that I spend a lot of time "supervising" Brandon as he works on his new 55-gallon fish aquarium or the fact that sometimes I'm just too lazy to transfer the pictures from my camera to the computer. Of course, it probably has nothing to do with the fact that I have two children under 4 yrs old. ;)

But, since I'm not ready to let the blog die, I decided it was time to resuscitate it. I know everyone has been waiting patiently for new pictures and stories!

Here is a picture of Zoey getting her toes painted for the first time! So sweet! ♥
I used to compare painting Kaitlin's nails to trying to nail jello to a tree. Zoey is the total opposite ~ she just sits so still and lets me do my thing! :)
This girl LOVES to color! Look what she can do with a blue marker!

MOST of the time she does her artwork on paper, but it occasionally escapes to the wall or the table or the floor or her FOOT...

Earlier I mentioned Brandon's new fish tank. Here's a picture of the first night when they were setting everything up.
Since then, we've added 18 fish to the tank!

Have you ever wondered how to RECYCLE a (gasp!) fifteen year old Homecoming dress? Well, we found the solution! (it was the 90's, cut me some slack!)

Times like this make me wish I had a sister. ♥
How lucky they are.

Look at this super-sweet smile of Zoey's!

One night we took them to a free concert in the park. They definitely had a good time! :)
(sharing Cracker Jacks with Daddy)

Did you hear about the old-school Lite Brite that I found at a garage sale for a quarter!? Straight from the 80's, but HOURS and HOURS of fun for Kaitlin. woohoo!

And yes, just so you know....

the cat LOVES the new fish tank. ;)
